Review | Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation

Its no secret, if you read my blog, that Estee Lauder Double Wear is my all time favourite foundation.   However, I am almost running out and I can't actually afford to keep buying it so I have been on the hunt for a new drug store foundation with a full coverage.  I am pretty sure nothing will give me as much coverage as double wear, but being a student without a job leaves me with little money haha.
I've heard lots of good things about the Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation (link) and since I loved the Wake Me Up foundation, I thought that trying a new Rimmel foundation could only be a good thing.

I'm very pale so I have it in the lightest shade, Ivory, and it matches so well.  The foundation blends so lovely and the coverage is amazing.  It covers up my spots and blemishes really well and that makes me very happy! What I love about it as well is that it doesn't feel heavy on my skin.  Sometimes I find that the Estee Lauder does, but this never has.

Surprisingly enough I haven't actually kept it on for 25 hours (who would?! haha) but it has lasted me so well for a days wear.  I find it gives me quite a dewy finish which I really love as my skin is quite dry.  I just use the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder so I'm not really shiny but I'm still left with a finish I love.

I know this a bit of a short review, but I think I've covered all points.  If you are looking for a new full coverage foundation, I definitely recommend this!

Inside My Makeup Bag

I've done a post before on My Everyday Makeup which you can read here, but my makeup has changed quite a bit since I wrote that so I thought I would show you what is currently in my makeup bag (not all of it, as this post would be way too long! Haha)
My makeup bag is pretty old, but I purchased it from Debenhams.  I really love it because its big enough to fit everything I need in it.

1. Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation- I really love the concealer of this so I thought I would give the foundation a go.  I'm really liking it so far as it gives my skin a nice healthy glow and doesn't look cakey. I'm wanting to get the Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation, but until I do this will do nicely!

2. Rimmel Stay Matte Powder- I love this powder and to be honest I think it will always have a place in my makeup bag!

3. The Body Shop Brush On Bronze- I've had this for quite a while now and I go through phases of using it because its so pigmented (which is good) but I'm rubbish at bronzer, don't know why but I just am haha. I'm currently going through a phase of loving it at the moment!

4. Maybelline EyeStudio Colour Tattoo 24hr Eye Shadow (Pink Gold)- I love this eyeshadow.  It stays on all day and is just the prettiest colour ever! I really want to buy it in 'Eternal Gold' as well as that looks just as pretty.

5.  Mac Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadow: Plumluxe- I normally only wear this eyeshadow if I'm going out somewhere in the evening, but at the moment I'm really loving it for during the day as well.  It just looks so pretty over the Colour Tattoo and you can never go wrong with a bit of glitter on your eyelids!

6. Ted Baker Eye Crayon- Gold- This is another pretty product I love putting all over my eyelids at the moment! Its perfect if I'm in a mad rush and don't have time for blending and using brushes etc.

7. Benefit Roller Lash- AKA best mascara ever.  Need I say more?!

8. Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer- I don't really use this to cover up and blemishes, but its perfect
for under my eyes! It just makes them look so much brighter and cover up those pesky dark circles.

9. Rimmel Colour Rush Balm (Rumour Has It)- I'm really liking this. As it is a balm its so moisturising on my lips, but its really pigmented so it gives a really nice colour.

Thats all of the items in my makeup bag at the moment. I hope you liked this post and let me know any items that are currently in your makeup bag!

Mac Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation | Review

Hi everyone!
Back in January I purchased the Mac Studio Sculpt Foundation.

At first I loved this product, the coverage was good, it made my skin look nice and didn't go all 'cakey', so I was happy.  However, after a little while it all changed (that makes it sound more dramatic than it is haha)
My skin suddenly started breaking out all the time and I couldn't control it.

Once I noticed my skin suddenly started breaking out, I stopped using the foundation for a bit and my skin slowly cleared up.  I tried it again, just to check if it was the foundation, and I broke out again. I'm really disappointed, I was so excited when I first purchased this foundation.

The coverage has also got worse, I try to build up the coverage but then my skin just looks dry and cakey and not what I want! Has this happened to any of you?

The main point of this post really is for any of you to recommend me a good foundation? I'm currently really stuck for a decent one! I'd like one with high coverage, but without looking cakey. Please let me know of any you like in the comments!

First Mac Purchases!

A couple of days ago, I went to London with my mum and went into Harrods.  The first thing I saw when I went in was Mac.  I've always wanted to buy some Mac makeup, but there's no where around where I live to buy any and it is quite pricey.  However, as another Christmas present my mum said she would buy me on thing and I could use some of my own money for another (best mum ever) so I did and here they are.

The first thing was the Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation:

I love it.  The coverage is so good and doesn't give a 'cakey' look.  It just looks really nice and yes, I just really like it haha.

The next was veluxe Pearlfusion Shadow: Plumluxe.
I have only wore this once so far, but the one time I did, it was perfect,  I used the top colour.  It is so glittery and I wore it on New Years Eve and it lasted the whole night.

I know this isn't a detailed review, but I just thought I should do a short post on them because its Mac and I've never bought any before and now I'm very happy.
